The practise of charity will bind us…will bind all men in one great brotherhood!
I have been working at this charity ever since my mentor brought it up for learning even more about how the world works, and I have enjoyed it thoroughly. The people here are wonderful, kind people who truly just want to help other non-profits with their website-related troubles. Ever since coming here, I have learned a variety of skills to follow my career choice, including web design, programming in various languages, and various other skills. With all of this, this opportunity was one of the best things I have done, for myself and the people in my community.

I found this charity through my programming mentor, who is the volunteer manager at the charity. When he came to the programmers to ask if they would volunteer, many of us decided that we would like to help with making websites for other charities, without them, many of the websites for charities in the area would not exist. I do believe they are a necessary part of the charity community here, without them other charities would have to waste tons of money on professional web designers, or would end up having no web presence. In this day and age, web presence is everything, and without it, it is almost as though the charity doesn't exist. What this charity does isn't the most fun work, but in this day and age is all too necessary.

I started volunteering here back in June, and I gotta say it was an enjoyable experience. I learned some cool skills, such as time management. The other volunteers in general are nice and pretty easygoing. And on a fun side note, we generally in this experience is different because we help the others and our society which is a lot more fun than one would think at first.

Volunteering Is A Great opportunity to get a feel of how work feels as well as a work experience opportunity. Volunteering at a charity is also a great way to feel more socially confident and comfortable.
